As an Industry expert Gary will help to determine the organisation’s approach to pressing issues such as Covid-19 restrictions, border issues and Brexit, by facilitating discussions with Logistics UK members at council meetings.
Logistic UK policy positions are determined by the members of its democratic Freight Councils; the organisation then responds to government consultations and future policy plans accordingly.
Gary commented: “I am delighted to have been elected Vice Chairman of Logistics UK NI Regional Council and to be working alongside the Chair Charlene Crossen Quayle , an important position that has high expectations, which I am keen to meet. I am honoured to be the Vice Chairman of a council which will represent and push for answers on some of the most challenging subjects with Covid-19 issues and Brexit being the most prominent in the logistics industry”
Over 300 managers and leaders from across road freight attend Logistics UK’s Freight Councils throughout the UK every quarter.
Logistics UK is one of the biggest business groups in the UK, representing an entire industry with members from the road, rail, sea and air industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers.
